PART 5: Elemental Balance
Aunt Arctics announcement was a big hit. Agents, tour guides, puffle groomers, and DJs alike all gathered in the Dojo.
"Okay!" I said to the crowd, standing on Senseis pillow. I felt the pressure on me as all the heads turned towards me. "Because of me, the element if snow may be delayed- or depleted completely. Now, I have a plan on how to reawaken the element, but it's going to take lots of work from all of you guys. Now, who's with me?"
"Eh, snow isn't even an element. It is simply Dihydrogen Monoxide in its solid state!" Gary shouted.
"I don't believe that this snow thing you made up is even real!" Shurow yelled, "I bet this is all an act!"
I knew I had to prove this to them somehow, as many penguins were agreeing, and starting to riot. As the yells from the crowd grew angrier, I decided, without thinking, to show them Senseis snow gem. "See! I have Sensei's amulet!" I responded. It looked pretty pathetic because it only had one gem, and many doubted that it was his, but I did have the snow gem, and everyone here knew I wasn't a hacker. I had them convinced.
I told them my plan, and they seemed to go along with it. I gathered a team of ninjas, including Frank. To reawaken the element, we would venture off back to the mountain, and collect all the snow we could gather. We were going to place the snow where it belonged in the dojo, on the snow symbol on the hideouts cold, stone floor. A crew of tour guides volunteered to escort us there.
So, me, Frank, and a few ninjas, went with a muscular red penguin in a jet pack and his tour guide crew. The Jet Pack Guy was apparently the member of the Emergency Penguin Facility who rescued Frank, and he also happened to know a lot about the wilderness and mountainous regions of Club Penguin. Frank himself looked the same, with a bandaged flipper, water suit, and unshaven face. We ventured off to behind the dojo, where the mountain sat. This time, Jet Pack Guy was going to fly with Frank, and I was equipped with a grappling hook and three tour guides. We made it to the top of the mountain in no time. Sadly, our puffle friend was nowhere to be seen.
One of the tour guides wearing a pink shirt took out a pale and shovel, which was pretty pathetic. "Yeah, umm, Mrs. Tour Guide? I think we need some more snow than just that." I said. At this rate we would need to take 20 trips to fill up the snow tablet on the floor. I noticed how slow this work was going, and I decided that we might as well let lots of penguins here. We built a bridge connecting the mountain to the courtyard, and penguins helped shovel the snow and relocate it to the hideout. Piles of frost hid the icon of snow, and after a few hours of work, we had reached the limit. The big amulet on the floor was completely filled with snow. The snow in its rightful place would surely give back the elemental balance!
Penguins crowded around the snow mound, waiting for something to happen. Nothing. Penguins were starting to get angry, and more yells came from the crowd. A Green Ninja was trying to convince everyone that Polo Field told him that snow wasn't coming.
Finally, after what seemed like ages, everyone left, until Frank and I were the only ones remaining. We stood in front of the enormous pile, and I noticed tears streaming down the old shop owners face. "Well, I won't be needing this anymore" I said, holding the amulet in my hand. I carefully removed the last, glistening gem, and tossed it into the mound, knowing I had failed.
The pile shook as the sparkling gemstone hit it. The gem dissolved into it, and it started to radiate a glowing white light. I had to squint to look at it properly. Penguins reentered the dojo to check out what was going on. "Snow is coming!" one yelled. Miles away, from atop the tallest mountain, Sensei took his last look at his old home. He was planning to pull a Herbert, hop on an iceberg and never look back, when he heard the screams of the eager students. He hiked back to his Dojo, his handmade dojo which has taught many the ways of the ninja. He found me in the crowd, drinking some ice cold water. "Grasshopper, you've re balanced the elements. And for that, I thank you. I want to give you the highest reward I can give to a white belt- the yellow belt"
I know everyone has that stupid yellow belt, but that day I wore it proudly. I regained the balance of the elements- fire, water, and snow. âť…
